Reopening Challenges
When the OEM’s North American assembly plant reopened after a period of closure, the road ahead was anything but simple. Launching an assembly plant requires meticulous coordination—manpower, training, logistics, technical setup, and more must all align seamlessly. Execution and quality are non-negotiable, but in today’s climate, cost efficiency and sustainability are just as critical.
That’s where The Protech Group’s hands-on support made the difference. As operations stabilized, the focus shifted toward process improvement and waste reduction. Reclaiming overspray in a way that maintains consistent quality is a complex process, as contaminants like dust or debris can quickly compromise the final finish. But when done right, it offers significant cost and environmental benefits.
Thanks to our team’s persistence, technical knowledge, and rigorous training, we helped the plant achieve a 33% increase in powder coating utilization. Our technicians acted as “loss and prevention” experts, monitoring powder quality in real time and providing data-backed recommendations directly to the customer.
