Hybrids are a unique combination of epoxy and polyester powder coatings. The distinctive features of this blend make hybrid technology an excellent option for decorative and general-purpose indoor coating applications, including small components such as brackets. Although epoxy-polyester powders excel in various areas, they fall short in UV resistance. Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can lead to color fading, making them unsuitable for outdoor applications or indoor spaces near windows or under skylights.

While primarily suited for indoor use, Hybrid coatings offer a broad range of applications. They can be designed for scratch, scuff, mar, and abrasion resistance, making them ideal for office furniture. Additionally, they can be customized to achieve high hardness and flexibility, which is suitable for lift trucks. Furthermore, these coatings can be formulated to comply with FDA regulations for food contact surfaces. They can also be engineered to provide excellent corrosion resistance, high flow properties, and superb inter-coat adhesion, making them perfect for use as primers.
